The G1 Smartphone from T-Mobile is the latest gadget when it comes to innovation. I can say that this is the real deal if you're considering buying a brand new reliable and dependable phone. When I bought mine last year there are quite few factors that I did considered before plunging into the bandwagon. And those are the features, quality and overall functions and of course it should be very comfortable to use.
Because this was the first time that I have been using different kind of operating system other than symbian (Nokia operating system) for my phone I find it quite annoying the first time I used this phone. The symbian OS that Nokia uses was probably one of the best OS for mobile phones today but after using my G1 with the new Android (OS developed by Google) technology I think there's a big possibility that it can compete very well with Nokia. It is solid, compact and installed programs runs pretty good without giving me some sort of trouble. Like symbian, Google made Android an open OS which means that anyone most especially programmers can develop their own programs and install it on Android platform which I find pretty cool. With that users like me will be able to download and install different types of application free of any charges.
Another best feature of this phone is the touch screen which looks very nice and perfectly works well. It is very quick to respond with just a minor or simple touch of your finger tips. Though unlike Apple's Iphone technology which has the multiple touch screens on the other hand the G1 doesn't have it. Lacking of that kind of feature didn't disappoint me because the G1 has plenty of easy to use controls that which works very handy. Other user seems having trouble using the sliding keyboard but in my case it was made easy and far better than my previously owned phones physical keyboard. On screen navigation was easy with the use of what they called trackball that I find very helpful specifically when choosing smaller icons related to the programs that I want to run.
The wireless capability of the phone allows me to access the internet by connecting to my local service provider network here in my country. I can easily login to my favorite social networking site like CIAO anytime whenever I like. But I cannot stay too much longer using this phone battery which I think have only 4 hours of continuous usage.
Overall the phone is not that too stylish compared to the other brands weather from Nokia or Apple but it will offers you great cool features that others don't have. Lastly, the price is much cheaper so do not expect too much but I guarantee that you can really rely on T-mobile G1 Smartphone.
